Free Write Friday: Communication in Relationships

It’s Free Write Friday and I wanted to share something that is on my heart: Communication in Relationships. Over the past few years I have seen close friend and family marriages fall apart due to lack of communication and it breaks my heart. Event Planners often have an additional challenge and that is our work schedules. We often work evenings and weekends or travel to our events leaving our spouses home alone or with our children. It can be challenging on any relationship to deal with being apart and figuring out how to make it work. I want to share what I have learned over 13 years of marriage to a man that I love now even more than the day I married him.

Today I will be focusing on the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO. Pepsi Center is a beautiful sports and entertainment facilities. Pepsi Center plays home to the NBA’s Denver Nuggets, NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, AFL’s Colorado Crush and NLL’s Colorado Mammoth. It is not just a sports venue! There is some fantastic meeting space available for your next event.

I often use university conference centers for my nonprofit events and I wanted to visit the Auraria campus, which is comprised of three colleges, to see what type of venues they have to offer.

Happy Birthday!

I couldn’t let today go by without saying Happy Birthday to my amazing, wonderful husband Shaun. I am truly blessed to have him in my life. He is the most selfless person I know. For his birthday they only thing he wanted was to help save lives by having his friends and family donate to charity:water an amazing organization that brings clean water to those in the world that need it.
